Moving to and from Florida
Getting its name from the Spanish words for Land of Flowers, Florida is a beautifully lush and sun soaked state found in the south-eastern region of the United States.
As if the Sunshine State was not beautiful enough because of it’s warm weather and sun, Florida is also surrounded by beautiful bodies of water as it is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean and the Straits of Florida. A lot of people find themselves drawn to Florida because of its wonderful climate which ranges from a sub-tropic (in the north,) all the way to tropical in the southern portion of the peninsula.
With a booming Cuban population, Florida is full of fine dining and entertainment that has very large Cuban and Spanish influences. However, it is also home to some all-American traditions, as well, as the state is home to Major League Baseball teams (Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins) NFL franchises (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars) and two National Hockey League franchises (Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning.)
With its economy being mostly based around agriculture and tourism, anyone moving to Florida will never be too far away from points of cultural importance, or even just fun things to do.
